Suzuki Teases Quartararo, Take Advantage of El Diablo's Disappointment and Target Marc Marquez

Some secretly took advantage of the unconducive situation between Fabio Quartararo and the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP team.

Reportedly, the rider nicknamed El Diablo was disappointed with his motorcycle mechanic team suit following the defeat of the 2022 MotoGP world title race.

Due to the poor performance of his bike, the Frenchman lost the points difference to Francesco Bagnaia who eventually came out as the champion.

Quartararo was said to be frustrated and even said to be willing to move to Suzuki if the team's performance did not change.

It was Suzuki who immediately moved on the conditions.

Suzuki's Team Manager, Suppo, is even confident that he can tempt Quartararo to join.

"Fabio Quartararo is fed up and will come to Suzuki willingly," said Livio Suppo, quoted from Crash.

"I think [Quartararo and Marc Marquez ] are pretty sick of their situation, to the point that Quartararo will come to us very willingly," Suppo told MOW Mag.

"And it would be nice to see him at Suzuki."

As for Team Suzuki ending the 2021 MotoGP event with positive results, Alex Rins won two of the last three races, including the last race at Valencia.

Meanwhile, Rins and 2020 world champion Joan Mir will feature in the 2023 MotoGP rider line-up with Team Honda.

Suppo is wary of Japanese manufacturers, Yamaha and Honda, set to enter 2023 with considerable losses against Ducati.

"Fabio and Marc Marquez are two of the strongest riders, but on paper they have to fight with their bikes and it's a bit of a shame for the world championship," he said.

"It seems like they don't really believe it anymore, so it's really hard to understand who's going to be more competitive with each other. This will largely depend on how much the respective racing department can improve its bike.

"We hope that this winter Honda and Yamaha can, for the sake of the championship, improve the bike."

Suppo worked at Ducati in 2007 when Casey Stoner won the championship.

This team from Italy took 15 years to produce another champion, namely Bagnaia this season.

On the other hand, Bagnaia will duet with Enea Bastianini as his teammates next year, a duo that has the potential to explode because of their ambitions to aim for a championship for themselves.

"They are two strong young Italian riders, both riding Ducati, it is natural that there will be big competition, but I think both are evenly matched and able to cope with this pressure," Suppo said.

"The sparks on the track were made again this year, although one bike was red and the other was not. But they never do anything excessive.

"I imagine that they will continue like this and that they will become uncomfortable customers for others.

"This year they made first and third place in the world championship while Quartararo, who finished second, after the last test at Valencia didn't seem too happy with the development made, a bit similar to Marquez."
