The GRP released data on the 2023 world military rankings based on power index scores based on a number of factors.
The list of 30 countries with the strongest military power in the world is controlled by the United States, Russia and China which are in the top three, what about Indonesia and the strength of the TNI (Indonesian National Army)?
Check the different scores of the three countries that occupy the top three of the 2023 world military rankings.
In addition to China, there is India which is in the top five of the world military rankings 2023.
Other Asian countries that are also in the top 10 of the 2023 world military rankings are South Korea and Japan.
This world military assessment or ranking refers to the categories of military strength, finance, logistics capabilities and geography with a perfect score on this index is 0.0000 (powerindex).
Friday (6/1/2023) On its official website, globalfirepower.com, GPF wrote, "The perfect PwrIndx (powerindex) score is 0.0000 which realistically cannot be achieved within the scope of the current GFP formula.
Thus, the smaller the value of PwrIndx, the stronger the conventional combat capability of a country."
Quoted TribunKaltim.co from kompas.com, from this ranking, the United States (US) still ranks first as the strongest military in the earth universe with an index score of 0.0712.
The second position is occupied by Russia with an index score of 0.0714 and the third position is China with an index score of 0.0722.
Meanwhile, Indonesia's position is ranked 13th with an index score of 0.2221.
The position achieved by Indonesia is just above Egypt which is ranked 14th, Ukraine is in 15th place, and Australia is in 16th position.
Indonesia's ranking is currently recorded to have risen two levels from last year.
In 2022, Indonesia ranks 15th with an index score of 0.2251.
On the other hand, the ranking results show that Indonesia's position is superior to a number of developed countries in terms of military.
For example, Iran is in 17th place, Israel is in 18th position, and Germany is ranked 25th.
In ASEAN, Indonesia's military is the strongest in the region.
From the GPF ranking, Indonesia outperformed Vietnam in 19th position and Thailand in 24th.
While neighboring countries, Singapore is in 29th position and Malaysia is 42nd.
In more detail, GPF publishes the composition of the TNI which is equipped with a number of forces, both from the point of view of human resources (HR) and the main tools of weapons systems (defense equipment).
The GPF noted that the TNI's air power was strengthened by 466 air power units.
The details, 41 fighters, 23 attack types, 67 transport aircraft, 126 training units, 17 special mission aircraft, 1 tanker aircraft, 176 helicopters, and 15 attack helicopters.
Meanwhile, Indonesian ground forces are equipped with 314 tanks, 12,008 armored vehicles, 153 self-propelled artillery, 414 artillery towers, and 63 rocket projectors.
Meanwhile, the TNI's sea power is said to have 324 defense equipment assets which include, 10 frigates, 21 corvettes, 4 submarines, 202 patrol boats, and 13 mine warfare.
